Description
Fraser Health Authority is seeking a pre-qualified prime architectural consultant to deliver two concurrent projects at Abbotsford Regional Hospital: replacement of a Room 3 nuclear medicine gamma camera and replacement of Room 4 medical imaging X-ray equipment. The scope includes existing-condition investigations, stakeholder and equipment-vendor coordination, schematic and design development, construction documents, tender support, cost-estimate validation, phasing, construction administration, site reviews, shop-drawing and RFI review, commissioning and installation support, deficiencies, closeout, and as-built documentation. Associated renovations and infrastructure upgrades may include bariatric patient-lift installation, millwork, flooring, painting, wall protection, and architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, communications, IT, and infrastructure modifications. The projects will use separate consultant contracts, budgets, schedules, and financial reporting, with the nuclear medicine project prioritized. Only architectural firms pre-qualified for Fraser Health acute-care projects greater than $150,000 may respond. Proposed mechanical, electrical, and structural sub-consultants must be on the Authority's applicable pre-qualified lists, and the team must include a local BICSI-certified Registered Communications Distribution Designer with five years of healthcare experience. Proposals are evaluated on team experience and capability, approach and methodology, and financial terms. The estimated construction budgets are $700,000 for the nuclear medicine project and $550,000 for the X-ray project; these are construction budgets, not the consultant award amount.
