Description
Greenville Utilities Commission (GUC) is requesting Statements of Qualifications from engineering firms to develop a comprehensive Preliminary Engineering Report (PER). This PER will serve as the foundational document for planning, designing, and applying for funding for the necessary natural gas infrastructure to support the Pitt County North Megasite development. The project aims to attract and support leading industries in advanced manufacturing by verifying existing utilities and establishing new sustainable infrastructure. The scope of services includes a site survey, analysis of existing natural gas infrastructure, projection of utility demands, evaluation of alternatives for extending and upgrading infrastructure, and preliminary design and cost estimates for Phase I development. The consultant will need to assess existing capacities, potential impacts on GUC's natural gas system, and projected demands from potential Megasite tenants. Deliverables include a draft PER due in May 2027 and a final PER due in October 2027.
