Description
Olmsted County is seeking a contractor to provide snow removal services for drives, parking areas, customer areas, sidewalks, ramps, loading docks, garage entrances, fire hydrants, and facility traffic paths at its Solid Waste Campus. Services cover the Olmsted County Recycling Center, Household Hazardous Waste Facility, Campus Scale Area, and Waste-to-Energy Facility, including plowing, snow hauling, sanding, and de-icing. Snow removal must begin when accumulations exceed 1.5 inches, with specified early-morning clearing and ongoing service during snow events. The initial contract term is two years, with up to three additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement. Pricing must be submitted using the Snow Plowing Cost Submittal, including rates by snowfall depth, use of sand or salt, snow hauling, and weekend or holiday service. The solicitation requires online submission through the electronic bidding site. Addendum 1 confirms that no bonds are required, clarifies that the first two winter seasons are 2026–2027 and 2027–2028, and states that the prime contractor remains responsible for meeting all insurance requirements, including those applicable to subcontractors.
