Description
Dakota County is seeking a contractor for as-needed maintenance and repair of overhead, bi-fold, and automatic doors at county facilities from 2027 through 2029. The scope includes repair and replacement of door panels, operators, sensors, tracks, buttons, wiring, power supplies, batteries, parts, and related metal or aluminum doors, frames, and hardware. Services must support low, standard, urgent, and emergency response levels, with emergency service required within four hours. The contractor must be able to work on various makes and models, supply LCN 4640 operators for automatic doors, and have at least one AAADM-certified technician within 100 miles of Hastings, Minnesota. Subcontractors are permitted for work outside the contractor’s scope. The proposal must include a transmittal letter, firm introduction, team organization, qualifications and experience, work plan and budget, conflict-of-interest information, exceptions and deviations, contract-terms acceptance, and the county pricing sheet. At least two similar contracts completed within the past five years must be identified with client references. The contract maximum is $175,000 for labor, materials, travel, and related charges, and the anticipated term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029.
