Description
Rochester Public Utilities is soliciting sealed bids for lump-sum power-line clearance and tree-trimming services. The work includes supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, tree trimming and removal, brush and tree-waste cleanup, right-of-way and easement clearing, and related herbicide application. Bidders may price any portion of the work, and RPU may award one or multiple contracts. Contractors must be licensed, qualified, and experienced in power-line easement clearing and line-clearance tree trimming. Work must comply with applicable OSHA, ANSI, DOT, Minnesota, and local requirements, including qualified personnel, traffic control, property-owner coordination, equipment requirements, safety procedures, and disposal of tree waste. A 5% bid bond is required; performance and payment bonds covering 100% of the contract price are required upon award. The lump-sum term is one year beginning January 1, with work expected to be completed no later than November 30, 2027.
