Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration requires at least two able-bodied line handlers to support NOAA Ship Fairweather during its anticipated October 2026 visit to the Port of Valdez. One handler must be positioned at the bow and one at the stern, with both able to assist with the gangway. Services are required for vessel arrival and departure, with availability for interim ship shifting if needed. Personnel must be on station at least 15 minutes before arrival and 30 minutes before departure to assist with stowing the gangway, and services may be scheduled or rescheduled with 24 hours' notice. The requirement is a total small business set-aside and will be awarded as a single fixed-price purchase order. Quotations must include a technical approach, pricing, SAM registration page one, UEID/CAGE code, liability insurance, at least two relevant references from separate contracts, and the required past-performance questionnaire process. The technical approach and past performance are significantly more important than price in the evaluation.
