Description
The project will restore the paved surface at a site following soil remediation. Work includes removing gravel to the required depth, compacting the remaining base, installing geogrid and aggregate base, and placing concrete pavement to match existing conditions and elevations. The bid documents specify a standard-duty pavement section and detailed requirements for concrete mix, reinforcement, joints, drainage, curing, and compaction. SME observation and testing are required during key construction activities. Bidders must submit a lump-sum bid with bid security. The successful contractor must provide a 100% performance bond and payment bond, meet insurance requirements, and comply with federal labor standards, including prevailing-wage provisions. The contract requires completion within 90 consecutive calendar days after the written Notice to Proceed.
