Description
The City of Jamestown is seeking a qualified firm to oversee implementation of the Main Street Viaduct Placemaking Initiative at 14–24 Main Street. The scope includes public engagement; engineering design and permitting; lighting and safety improvements; public art; creative seating, swings, and other placemaking amenities; landscaping; and improved connectivity and accessibility between Downtown Jamestown, the Greater Jamestown Riverwalk, and the Brooklyn Square commercial district. The selected consultant must develop realistic schedules and budgets and coordinate with City departments and other relevant organizations. The total consulting-fee budget is $139,000. Proposals must address the project approach, implementation schedule, team and key personnel, relevant experience, references, and a detailed fee proposal. The project award is anticipated for December 4, 2026, with kickoff on January 11, 2027; the project is intended to be completed within 12–18 months, and the document also states that contract work ends June 2, 2028.
