Description
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent's Public Utilities Commission is seeking a consulting engineering firm for the phased upgrade and expansion of Chatham Sanitary Pumping Station No. 3 and associated sanitary forcemain infrastructure. Services include environmental assessment, preliminary and detailed design, MECP approvals, tendering, construction administration, commissioning, start-up, and post-construction support. The scope includes pump rehabilitation and replacement; process mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, SCADA, structural, HVAC, and building improvements; hydraulic modeling; flow-monitoring analysis; pump and forcemain sizing; equipment selection; stakeholder consultation; and preparation of reports, drawings, specifications, and tender documents. A later phase includes design and implementation of a twin sanitary forcemain with a Thames River crossing, while the overall design must accommodate future pumping-station upgrades and projected growth.
