Description
The City of Laredo is soliciting proposals for risk and liability coverage, specifically including services related to detox. Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit their proposals electronically through the Cit-E-Bid system or via hand delivery. Proposals must be submitted to the City Secretary Office, located at 1110 Houston St., 3rd Floor, Laredo, Texas 78040, no later than 5:00 P.M. on July 2, 2026. All hand-delivered bids must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked: "RFP 2026-065 Risk Liability Coverage - Detox." All bids received will be opened and publicly acknowledged at 10:00 A.M. on July 6, 2026. Please note that mailed bids (via USPS, FedEx, UPS), telegraphic, email, or facsimile bids will not be considered. The City of Laredo has established a local vendor preference ordinance (2018-O-175), which will be applied to all informal and formal Requests for bids, granting a 5% preference for local vendors.
