Description
The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is seeking a qualified and experienced benefits consulting and brokerage firm to provide services for the optimization of its fully insured employee insurance benefits. The selected firm will offer consulting and brokerage services for a full range of benefit program services, including medical, dental, vision, life, and short- and long-term disability insurance. The scope of services includes analysis and reporting on existing coverage, identification of cost-saving alternatives, development of short and long-range goals, financial projections, and monitoring of carrier performance. The firm will also act as a liaison with insurance carriers and providers, assist with plan interpretation and problem resolution, and provide day-to-day consultation to RTA staff, employees, and retirees. Compliance with state and federal legislation, as well as assistance with annual audits and reporting, are also key responsibilities. The contract term will be for three (3) years, with the option for two additional one-year extensions, for a maximum term of five (5) years.
