Description
The City of Laredo is soliciting informal bids for the complete interior fit-out and site integration of four existing 12'x8' modular units. The project aims to transform these prefabricated shells into fully conditioned, safe, and accessible commercial or operational spaces. The scope of work includes: * Construction of twenty-four permanent structural foundations (six piers per unit). * Installation of approximately 96 square feet of commercial-grade vinyl flooring per unit. * Specialized underground electrical conduit infrastructure. * Drywall integration for all walls and ceilings. * Wall assembly insulation (R-19 fiberglass batts) and ceiling insulation (R-38). * Installation of four window-mounted HVAC units (6,000 BTU capacity each). * Fabrication and installation of four rigid exterior heavy-duty steel window support brackets. * Construction of four wooden 6'x5' ADA ramps with handrails and four 5'x5' landing platforms. Contractors are responsible for all labor, equipment, materials, and appurtenances necessary to complete the project according to city specifications and provided plans. The work site is located at the ROOTS Recovery Center at 1300 Chicago St. Bids are due by June 30, 2026.
