Description
The United States Army is seeking information on cutting-edge innovations and existing systems for uncrewed tactical autonomy and robotic manipulation, specifically for military recovery operations. The objective is to identify robust, ruggedized solutions capable of or adaptable to executing complex recovery tasks in contested, degraded, and operationally demanding environments. The Army Sustainment Community is interested in advanced, low-logistics solutions to reduce the overall resource demand, personnel footprint, and exposure time required to execute recovery missions under Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Limited (DDIL) network conditions. This RFI is open to modifications to existing Army platforms or entirely separate systems to enhance the Army's ability to conduct continuous recovery operations. Respondents are asked to address how their systems would autonomously find and navigate to a disabled vehicle, conduct an autonomous rigging operation, and accomplish these tasks in degraded environments or with denied communication. Responses should be limited to 750 words per question, with graphics and diagrams encouraged. The submission deadline is July 31, 2026, at 11:59 AM CT, and responses should be emailed to unmanned-ground-recovery@aal.army as a single PDF file.
