Description
The City of Tampa Water Department seeks as-needed pest control service at water meters, including removal or relocation of snakes, lizards, bees, yellow jackets, wasps, hornets, and other listed pests. The contractor must clean and secure service locations to prevent further intrusion, respond within two hours of a service call, and provide a remediation schedule within 48 hours when work cannot be completed during the visit. Service hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless updated otherwise. A six-month warranty is required for repaired locations, with repeat pest removal during that period at no additional charge. The contractor must provide written monitoring reports for each site and visit, including pest observations and photographs, materials used, and recommendations; monthly and quarterly reports must also be available in spreadsheet format. Chemical use requires prior department approval, and the vendor must maintain chemical-use records and provide safety data sheets. Bidders must have at least three years in business, provide references for similar work, and be a pest-control vendor with an office in the Tampa Bay area. The quote lists estimated quantities of 100 insect-removal visits and 100 reptile-removal visits; quantities are estimates, not guaranteed minimums.
