Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is soliciting a firm-fixed-price commercial construction contract for coating work at the Dale Hollow Dam powerhouse. The contractor must prepare and coat two wooden assembly bay doors, two wooden man doors, and a half-glass/glass visitor entrance door, including associated wood and metal trim and hardware. Work includes removing existing primer, paint, and stain; repairing or replacing identified rotten and weathered wood; applying approved oil-based stain and outdoor sealer to wood; and painting metal doors, trim, frames, and hardware black with oil-based paint. The contractor must contain and dispose of debris, keep the doors in place and functional, submit coating samples and product data for approval, and provide disposal certificates. The procurement is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside. The revised quote instructions require electronic submission by email, including the completed SF 1442, acknowledgment of applicable amendments, and the completed Price Schedule. Amendment 0003 provides updated scope, pricing, quote instructions, and answers to industry questions, and extends the quote deadline to September 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Central Time. The contract has a 140-calendar-day performance period beginning upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed; a payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit is required only after award, within 10 calendar days, if applicable under the stated contract-value threshold.
