Description
Shawnee County is requesting qualifications and proposals from design-build teams for a complete renovation of the Maner Conference Center. The work includes design, construction management, and building services, including renovation of conference and meeting rooms; audiovisual and technology modernization; HVAC replacement and energy-efficiency improvements; electrical and lighting upgrades; fire protection and life-safety improvements; ADA accessibility improvements; restroom renovations; interior finishes and furnishings; exterior remodeling; parking-area renovation or replacement; and related site improvements. The procurement uses a three-phase, qualifications-based selection process. Phase I requires a statement of qualifications addressing comparable projects, owner references, personnel qualifications, proposed design consultants and contractors, and evidence of public-works bonding capability. Prequalified teams will proceed to Phase II technical proposals and conceptual design, followed by Phase III firm fixed-price design and construction cost/time proposals. The estimated total project budget is $7 million to $8 million, and the selected team is expected to provide a Guaranteed Maximum Price and Guaranteed Delivery Date.
