Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contract for preventive maintenance, quarterly battery checks, corrective and unscheduled repairs, and 24/7 emergency repair response for seven uninterruptible power supply units and seven battery cabinets supporting facilities in Topeka and Fort Riley, Kansas. The scope includes semi-annual UPS and battery-cabinet maintenance, quarterly checks of 264 installed batteries, diagnostics, component and battery replacement, firmware-related support, thermal-runaway monitoring, and emergency response with an eight-hour on-site response requirement and one-hour remote acknowledgment requirement. Offerors must demonstrate at least three years of experience maintaining commercial UPS systems of 100 kVA or greater and capability with Liebert and Staco Energy systems. Proposed technicians must meet specified electrical licensing or training, UPS experience, OSHA, lead-compliance, security, and site-access requirements; a supervisor must also hold OSHA 30-hour certification. Quotes must include technical capability documentation and a completed five-year pricing schedule covering scheduled services, labor allowances, and annual parts allowances.
