Description
The City of Denton is seeking a single firm to provide professional construction materials testing, special inspection, geotechnical investigation, contract drilling, laboratory testing, structural steel and welding inspection, and related engineering services for ongoing annual capital and other municipal construction projects. The scope includes asphaltic concrete and Portland cement concrete testing, soil observation and testing, soil stabilization recommendations, geotechnical borings and reports, concrete and pavement coring, traffic control, backfill, and pavement replacement. A firm may respond for one or more requested service categories, but one contract will be awarded to a single firm. Respondents must submit a Statement of Qualifications addressing the firm, proposed team, quality and information management procedures, and available services, along with required forms and supporting materials. The response must include at least three references with contact information, team resumes and an organizational chart, a Texas-registered professional engineer and at least two engineering technicians, examples of geotechnical and materials-testing reports, a completed services-availability spreadsheet, a signed Conflict of Interest Questionnaire, an invoice example, a completed Bid Invitation, and a Safety Record if applicable. Responses may be submitted electronically through IONWAVE or by hard copy, but not by email; only one submission method is required. Insurance requirements for the awarded contract will be negotiated with the selected firm, and any exceptions to the contract or attachments should be included with the response.
