Description
The City of Plant City is soliciting bids for a construction contract to remove and install flooring at the Traffic Compound facility located at 1302 W Spencer Street, Plant City, FL. The scope includes removal and disposal of existing vinyl composition tile (VCT) and carpet tile flooring, substrate preparation, and installation of new glue-down luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring throughout the office area, including traffic operations room, coordinator room, conference room, admin office, signs & marketing office, signals office, phone room, hallways, breakroom, and bathrooms. Work must be performed in phases, with demolition and installation completed in each area before proceeding to the next. The contractor must attend a mandatory pre-proposal meeting on June 30, 2026. The project has a 30-day completion period from notice to proceed, with liquidated damages for delays. The contract term is 60 days from issuance. Bidders must have a minimum of three years of experience in flooring removal and installation and list three similar projects as references.
