Description
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration is soliciting a contractor to provide secure pickup, removal, transportation, and destruction of seized hazardous and non-hazardous waste from designated facilities in Santa Fe Springs. Waste includes cannabis products, tobacco products, liquid nicotine, and all-in-one pods containing liquid cannabis or nicotine and lithium-ion batteries. The contractor must provide appropriate containers, weigh materials by net weight, maintain chain-of-custody documentation, complete required manifests, and provide destruction certifications. Services are estimated at approximately 12 pickups per year per facility, with additional as-needed service. The initial term is November 16, 2026, or upon Department of General Services approval, whichever occurs later, through June 30, 2027, with up to two optional one-year renewal periods. Bidders must submit rates per pound and provide required licenses, permits, hazardous-waste transportation credentials, insurance, facility authorizations, safety documentation, references, and bid forms.
