Description
The City of Winston-Salem is seeking a progressive design-build team to provide Phase 1 preconstruction and design-development services and, subject to approval of a Guaranteed Maximum Price, Phase 2 final design, construction, testing, commissioning, training, and closeout services. The approximately $4.5 million project will improve the Clark Campbell Transportation Center and Hampton Haith Maintenance Facility while both remain operational. The scope includes public restroom replacement and temporary restroom provisions; HVAC, building automation, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, accessibility, code, and roof evaluation or replacement; replacement of the Hampton Haith bus wash system; and related drainage, runoff, wastewater, stormwater, utility, site, permitting, and operational improvements. The design-builder must perform existing-condition investigations, develop open-book cost and schedule models, manage project risks, maintain transit and facility operations, coordinate phased or off-peak work, and comply with applicable federal transit funding, prevailing-wage, DBE, Buy America, audit, and documentation requirements. Responses must include a searchable PDF Statement of Qualifications organized according to the specified cover letter and six technical sections.
