Description
Forsyth County seeks one or more qualified engineering firms for a five-year master agreement covering planning, design, construction-phase, and consulting services for airport-related projects at Smith Reynolds Airport. Potential work includes runway, taxiway, apron, lighting, signage, navigation aid, drainage, environmental, master planning, airport layout plan, obstruction removal, land acquisition, parking, hangar, terminal, utility, fencing, security, fuel-farm, and other aviation infrastructure projects. Fees will be negotiated separately for each project, and the County may contract with up to two firms. Respondents must address airport familiarity, capability across planning, design, and construction services, relevant project-manager and aviation-staff experience, coordination with the North Carolina Department of Transportation Division of Aviation and the Federal Aviation Administration, workload capacity, and federal and state aviation-grant administration. Responses are limited to 20 single-sided 8.5-by-11-inch pages, must be submitted as a signed PDF, and must include a letter of interest, firm history, current and similar project information, assigned-staff resumes, and proposed subconsultants. The solicitation identifies minimum insurance limits of $5 million professional liability, $1 million commercial general liability, $1 million business automobile liability, and North Carolina statutory workers' compensation limits with at least $100,000 per accident.
