Description
Boone County is soliciting bids for the replacement of the existing Trane air-handling unit at the Boone County Annex. The work includes dismantling and disposal of the existing unit, furnishing and installing a new HVAC system, connecting to existing ductwork, refrigerant, gas, electrical, and fresh-air systems, installing controls and a programmable thermostat, and completing testing, balancing, commissioning, and owner instruction. The project documents identify associated ductwork, condensate and refrigerant piping, electrical work, equipment supports, insulation, cleanup, operating and maintenance manuals, and compliance with applicable building, mechanical, electrical, safety, and prevailing-wage requirements. The bid is a lump-sum construction proposal, with a proposed working-days schedule required. A 5% bid bond or certified check is required; the awarded contractor must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each for the full contract price.
