Description
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is soliciting bids for replacement of the maintenance building at Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park. The scope includes public-building construction, demolition, stormwater drainage, utilities, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, concrete and foundation work, flood panels, site restoration, and potential asbestos or lead-related work; the addendum states that surveys found no lead or asbestos on site. Addendum 2 provides extensive clarifications and revised requirements, including contractor responsibility for utility fees, concrete and compaction testing, dewatering permits if needed, electrical service and well reconnection work, motor-operated overhead doors, flood panels and storage racks, revised structural and mechanical details, and removal of campsite electrical work and septic-tank servicing from the scope. Bidders must sign and include acknowledgment of Addendum 2 with the bid. The bid deadline remains October 22, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
