Description
Sarasota County is soliciting a contractor for a comprehensive renovation of its existing South County Fleet maintenance and support facilities at the South County Fleet Building. The work includes renovation of approximately 10,009 square feet of administrative office space, improvements to the repair garage, new office and NAPA storage areas, restrooms, break room, entrance canopy and stairs, loading dock, and related site work. The scope includes architectural, structural, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire sprinkler, fire alarm, insulation, doors, storefronts, finishes, signage, and equipment-related work. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, testing, coordination, and closeout documentation. Bidders must demonstrate specified commercial renovation experience, including interior office renovation, commercial garage renovation with new HVAC, and commercial siding replacement using an OptiLiner wall system or equivalent. The contract requires a 180-calendar-day substantial-completion period, a letter of bondability showing at least $1,000,000 in bonding capacity, performance and payment bonding at 100% of the contract amount for bids of $200,000 or more, and specified insurance coverage.
