Description
Pima County is seeking a contractor to provide bulk caustic soda consisting of 25% sodium hydroxide liquid on an as-required basis for wastewater treatment operations. The material must be delivered in 4,400- to 5,000-gallon tankers and off-loaded into an 8,700-gallon polyethylene storage tank using appropriate hoses and fittings. The contractor must provide at least one CDL driver with a HAZMAT endorsement, maintain a minimum of three consecutive years of experience providing caustic soda and chemical deliveries, submit required qualification evidence and a product SDS, and comply with facility safety, security, spill-reporting, and site-access requirements. The contract term is one year, with estimated quantities and no guaranteed order volume; the County expects to conduct a future formal procurement for longer-term needs.
