Description
The Borough of Pottstown is soliciting bids for approximately 60,000 gallons per year of 12.5% liquid sodium hypochlorite for its water treatment plant, approximately 90,000 gallons per year for its wastewater treatment plant, and approximately 1,800,000 pounds per year of poly aluminum chloride for the water treatment plant. Poly aluminum chloride must be an approved product or pass Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection approval and required laboratory bench testing, subject to stated exceptions. Deliveries must be made in bulk to the designated plant storage tanks, with tanker equipment capable of reaching the required discharge point and complying with specified safety requirements. The Borough may award a 12-month, 36-month, or 60-month term beginning January 1, 2027. Bids must be submitted online through the Penn Bid Program by October 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. A 10% bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check is required as bid security, and the successful bidder must provide a 100% performance bond after award.
