Description
This is a sources-sought notice for market research, not a request for proposals or quotations. The U.S. Coast Guard is assessing contractor capability to perform dry-dock repairs on the USCG STA San Francisco. The contractor would provide the facilities, materials, equipment, and personnel needed to complete the work at its dry-dock facility. The anticipated firm-fixed-price contract has an estimated 92-calendar-day period of performance, subject to change. The listed work includes welding; ultrasonic testing; hull plating and underwater-body preservation; inspections of the vessel’s fendering, tanks, engines, reduction gears, electrical isolation, and other systems; overhaul of sea valves; renewal of exhaust piping, water-jet drive components, piping, hoses, mast, and interior hull insulation; marine chemist services; temporary dry-dock services; and sea-trial support. Respondents are asked to provide company and business-size information, applicable small-business certification documentation, a statement describing how they would perform the work and confirming their intent to submit a future proposal as a prime contractor, and relevant past-performance information.
