Description
The City of Laredo is soliciting bids for an annual service contract to maintain Zacate Creek and designated storm-channel areas. Required work includes 12 monthly service cycles for mowing and lawn maintenance, removal of vegetation and trees, pruning large trees to specified clearance heights, cleaning and scraping concrete channels, clearing storm drains and outfalls, and collecting trash, debris, branches, tires, shopping carts, and other waste. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and supplies; pay landfill disposal fees; dispose of collected material at the City of Laredo Solid Waste Landfill; provide safety warning signs and high-visibility vests for applicable work; notify the Environmental Services Department before and after service; and maintain monthly waste logs for submission with invoices. Optional additional services include waste removal without mowing and maintenance at the Zacate Waterfall. The contract term is two years, with a possible additional two-year extension and limited month-to-month extensions.
