Description
United Independent School District is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide as-needed, district-wide utility maintenance, repairs, installations, and upgrades. The scope includes water lines, fire lines, hydrants, backflow preventers, domestic waterline connections, sanitary sewer lines, storm drain connections, sanitary and storm sewer manholes, and related boxes and infrastructure. Contractors must furnish labor, materials, tools, machinery, equipment, safety apparatus, and incidentals. Specified materials include Type L or K copper, or approved equivalents, for water lines and PVC Schedule 40 or PVC SDR 26 for sewer lines. All furnished materials and equipment must be new and unused unless otherwise specified. The selected contractor or contractors must demonstrate relevant experience, staffing, equipment, municipal-code familiarity, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Proposals must include at least three professional recommendation letters from clients for similar utility maintenance, repair, or installation work completed within the last three years, with verifiable client contact information. Work will be issued through purchase orders and must comply with applicable safety, insurance, background-check, school-district, and local-code requirements. The district may recommend one, multiple, or no vendors.
