Description
The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision is soliciting bids for a commercial-grade NSF/ANSI 61-compliant copper-silver ionization water disinfection system for Legionella control in the facility's domestic hot-water service. The contractor must remove the existing system if applicable, furnish and install the new system, perform testing and commissioning, provide startup and operator training, and supply operation and maintenance documentation, warranty documentation, service descriptions, certifications, material-safety documentation, and potable-water safety documentation. The contract requires ongoing monthly service for five years, including the CSI controllers, consumables, water testing, preventative maintenance, and 20 water-quality samples per month tested for Legionella culture, copper, and silver. Semiannual inspections and written reports are also required. Bidders must have at least five years of experience with copper-silver ionization systems or potable-water treatment systems for institutional facilities and must submit at least 10 comparable installations completed within the last five years. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on grand total cost.
