Description
The City of Wilson is soliciting bids for construction of flood-mitigation improvements at Carolina Street Park and the surrounding neighborhood. The work includes an underground detention system and two rain gardens, approximately 170 linear feet of 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe, curb and gutter, swales, sidewalk replacement, utility bedding, excavation, backfill and compaction, fine grading, erosion and sedimentation control, seeding, mulching, mobilization, demolition, traffic control, and related appurtenances. The project is funded through the Golden Leaf Foundation and is expected to require 90 calendar days for substantial completion, with final completion and readiness for final payment within 120 calendar days after the Contract Times commence. The prime bidder must perform at least 60% of the work. Bids must include bid security equal to 5% of the maximum bid price, along with the required qualification, non-collusion, E-Verify, and M/WBE documentation.
