Description
The City of Charlotte is soliciting a replacement license plate recognition system for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The selected company must furnish and install all required labor, tools, equipment, hardware, software, cloud storage, mobile broadband connections, network integration, device management, permits, and related technical expertise. The solution must provide centralized management, data retention, real-time alerting, vehicle analytics, and compatibility with CMPD and third-party law-enforcement databases. The scope includes configuration, user training, system validation, maintenance, privacy and security compliance, and continued CMPD control over data and access. The contractor must hold and maintain certification from the North Carolina Alarm Systems Licensing Board and comply with North Carolina General Statute § 20-183.31 throughout the contract term.
