Description
Saint Louis County is soliciting construction services for an approximately 8.2-mile ATV trail between Peyla Road and Pfeiffer Lake Road. The scope includes clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage ditch construction, aggregate base and surfacing, geogrid and geotextile installation, wetland fill, two 26-foot timber OHV bridges, boardwalk construction, pipe culverts, riprap, vehicular gates, traffic-control devices, and turf establishment and erosion control. The project includes environmentally sensitive work and requires compliance with wetland, stormwater, fish and wildlife, cultural-resource, prevailing-wage, tribal-employment, and federal-aid requirements. Bidders must submit electronically through BidExpress, provide a proposal guaranty equal to 5% of the total bid, and submit the Responsible Contractor Verification of Compliance with the bid. Work may begin on or after November 16, 2026, and all work other than vegetation maintenance and final cleanup must be completed by June 18, 2027; vegetation maintenance and final cleanup must be completed by June 30, 2027.
