Description
The Minneapolis VA Healthcare System is conducting market research for recurring off-site laundering, processing, finishing, pickup, and delivery of government-owned hospitality linens for two Fisher House buildings. The estimated workload includes sheets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths, bath mats, shower curtains, duvet covers and inserts, comforters, pillows, blankets, mattress protectors, and related items. Service is anticipated twice weekly, with specified pickup and return cycles and handling requirements for individual linen types. The contractor would provide the labor, equipment, supplies, carts, transportation, and supervision; keep Fisher House linens separate from other laundry; follow infection-prevention and sanitation practices; and maintain clean/soiled separation at its laundry plant. Responses to this sources-sought notice should include company and capability information, answers to the listed market-research questions, and written procedures for lost-and-found items and cleaning and sanitizing carts and equipment. This is a market-research notice, not a solicitation for contract award.
