Description
The Agriculture Research Service's Bee Research Laboratory intends to award a sole-source contract for high-throughput sequencing services to analyze thousands of bee samples collected across the United States. The analysis will support detection of emerging pathogens, characterization of interactions among parasites, viruses, and environmental stressors, and identification of biomarkers associated with severe honeybee mortality events. This is a special notice of intent to sole source, not a request for competitive quotes. The Government currently intends to award the contract to Azenta Life Sciences, but responsible sources may submit capability statements describing their technical capability for consideration. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests will not be accepted.
