Description
The City of Glen Cove is soliciting bids for a two-year, multi-year contract to furnish and deliver approximately seven new, unused, current-production portable automated mechanical ventilators for adult emergency medical use. The specified basis of design is the SAVe II+ Simplified Automated Ventilator, but equivalent products may be proposed if they meet or exceed the stated requirements for ventilation functionality, portability, weight, battery operation, durability, power options, ease of operation, and overall performance. The equipment must support prehospital emergency care, emergency and disaster response, and other emergency or temporary mechanical ventilation applications. Requirements include adult-patient use, a maximum weight of three pounds excluding consumables, an integrated rechargeable battery providing at least eight hours of operation, AC-power capability, and all necessary charging equipment and power supplies. Bidders proposing an equal product must identify the manufacturer and model and provide technical literature, specifications, brochures, manuals, or other documentation sufficient to establish equivalency. Pricing must be firm and fixed by contract year and include shipping and handling.
