Description
The City of Laguna Beach is soliciting a lump-sum bid for landscape improvements in the raised medians on Coast Highway between Montage Resort Drive and Catalina Avenue. The work includes temporary traffic control, clearing and grubbing, export and disposal, rock banding, soil preparation, landscaping, decomposed granite, and installation and connection of irrigation systems, including a new water meter and backflow preventer assembly. The project includes plant establishment and landscape maintenance for 120 calendar days after substantial landscape completion. Bidders must hold a Class A General Engineering or Class C-27 Landscaping license. The estimated bid value is $730,000. The work is scheduled to begin within 10 working days after notice to proceed, with 50 consecutive working days for construction followed by 120 calendar days of plant establishment. A 10% bid bond and 100% payment and performance bonds are required. Bids must include the City's provided bid forms and supporting certifications, including subcontractor designation, non-collusion, public works registration, workers' compensation, fleet compliance, and bidder experience materials; valid Certificates of Reported Compliance for the bidder and listed subcontractors are also required at bid submission.
