Description
The University of South Alabama is soliciting sealed bids for replacement of AHU 030, a rooftop air-handling unit serving administrative offices, an outpatient pediatric oncology clinic, and education space at USA Children's and Women's Hospital. All work will occur on the roof, and the contractor must provide temporary air conditioning for the interior spaces during equipment changeout. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the architect or copies thereof. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to the University of South Alabama, in an amount of at least 5% of the bid and no more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and payment bonds will be required at contract signing. Applicable Alabama general-contractor licensing evidence must be shown before bidding, including the current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope.
