Description
The Mobile Bay National Estuary Program is soliciting professional services for a comprehensive scientific synthesis and assessment of the D'Olive Watershed. The work will integrate more than two decades of watershed planning, monitoring, restoration, research, engineering studies, hydrologic investigations, geomorphic evaluations, water-quality monitoring, habitat assessments, biological surveys, economic analyses, and restoration-performance monitoring. The scope includes synthesis of existing information; targeted physical, chemical, biological, geomorphic, and ecological investigations; evaluation of long-term watershed trends and response; identification of scientific uncertainties, data gaps, and future monitoring needs; and development of a comprehensive State of the D'Olive Watershed report. Respondents must include an interdisciplinary methodology, implementation schedule, proposed budget table and justification, relevant experience, at least two project references, project-team information, and key-personnel CVs or resumes. The proposal is limited to 15 single-sided pages, excluding cover pages, tables of contents, and project-team CVs; a peer-reviewed scientific manuscript and public data-repository submission must also be included in the project scope and budget. Attendance at the mandatory virtual pre-submittal meeting is required to submit a proposal.
