Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is conducting a virtual industry day concerning two planned procurements: the Holt Lock Filling and Emptying Valve Bulkhead and the Okatibbee Dam Culvert Intake Bulkhead. The anticipated work would require complete fabrication, shop testing, and delivery of fiber-reinforced polymer composite structures, including all labor, materials, shop facilities, and equipment. The agency is seeking industry feedback on manufacturing feasibility, draft drawings and technical specifications, quality assurance and validation testing, material and component availability, specialty steel sourcing, and transportation logistics. The event is for acquisition planning only; no formal solicitation is currently available. A briefing will be followed by optional individual breakout sessions for interested firms.
