Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration requires removal and disposal of the existing automatic transfer switch controller and installation of a new controller at the NOAA NMFS Galveston Laboratory. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and technical expertise; complete electrical connections to utility power, the emergency generator, and the load distribution system; and install and integrate an OFF/MANUAL/AUTO selector switch and other required components. The work includes testing and commissioning automatic transfer operations, generator start and stop functionality, load transfer, and system protection features. The contractor must provide testing documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, a deficiency report as applicable, and one on-site training session for Government maintenance personnel. Work must comply with the National Electrical Code, OSHA requirements, applicable local and federal codes, manufacturer requirements, and facility security-access procedures. Eaton is the preferred manufacturer for the replacement controller.
