Description
Hennepin County seeks a consultant to assess the Sheriff's Forensic Science Laboratory's operations and space needs at the Forensic Sciences Building. The work includes reviewing current operations and best practices; inventorying existing spaces, equipment, and functions; identifying facility, infrastructure, and equipment deficiencies and future needs; evaluating the current location; and developing a conceptual plan for operating in the existing facility with modifications. The consultant must also identify laboratory customers and partners and estimate costs for renovation, expansion, a new facility, and new equipment and furniture. Work must be completed under the supervision of at least one Minnesota-licensed architect. The proposal must include firm qualifications and experience, contact and project-team information, a detailed work plan and deliverables, and a project budget. The anticipated study cost range is approximately $140,000-$180,000. Proposals must be submitted through the county's Supplier Portal. The RFP also requires a cover letter and specifies searchable PDF format and page-formatting requirements.
