Description
Hennepin County seeks a contractor to provide labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for comprehensive carpet cleaning at various County facilities on an as-needed basis. The scope covers approximately 3.5 million square feet of carpet annually, with work assigned as needed and no guaranteed minimum volume. Cleaning includes restoration, scheduled maintenance, and designated dry-compound methods, with requirements for pre-treatment, vacuuming, drying, approved cleaning products, and response to routine and emergency service requests. The contract has a three-year base period with up to two one-year extensions. Bidders must demonstrate at least five consecutive years of commercial-grade carpet-cleaning experience and submit at least three qualifying non-residential references using the provided form. The contractor must self-perform primary work unless the County gives prior written authorization for subcontracting. The solicitation divides work into library and non-library bid groups, which may be bid independently.
