Description
The project includes replacing four existing pumps and motors in two buildings at the booster pump station, along with associated piping and valve replacement, flow-straightening vaned bends, electrical work, and instrumentation and control upgrades. Building improvements include architectural work, pipe supports and concrete equipment pads, heating and ventilation upgrades, and plumbing improvements, including new sump pumps. Site work includes replacing the walk-in motor control center enclosure and extending its concrete pad; vegetation clearing; installing gravel and fabric around electrical equipment; installing drain piping to an on-site sanitary sewer manhole; replacing a valve-pit hatch; rehabilitating driveway pavement; and constructing driveway extensions. The bid requires bid security equal to 10% of the total bid, capped at $20,000. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The solicitation also requires a commitment to direct at least 25% of the contract price to a minority business enterprise and an additional 7% to a women's business enterprise.
