Description
The San Diego County Water Authority is soliciting bids to replace two existing two-ton monorail cranes with one two-ton underhung Class C hand-geared bridge crane at the Rancho Penasquitos Pressure Control and Hydroelectric Facility. The work includes crane manufacturer information, design and shop drawings, modifications and alignment of existing crane rails, fabrication and delivery of the crane, installation, testing, commissioning, Cal/OSHA load-test certification, and training Water Authority staff for at least six hours. The selected contractor must possess either a California Class A General Engineering Contractor License or Class C-61/D-21 Machinery and Pumps Contractor License. The work must be completed by March 15, 2027, with a stated Notice to Proceed date of November 25, 2026. The bid requires the completed bid response form and listed exhibits, including subcontractor and vendor schedules, contractor questionnaire, bidder’s bond or permitted cash/check alternative, fleet compliance certification, crane manufacturer information, and any applicable product-substitution materials.
