Submission Instructions
Description
The City of Portsmouth is soliciting vendors to establish agreements for the supply and delivery of water meters used in its water system. The solicitation includes 22 water meter line items ranging from 5/8-inch to 8-inch, including AWWA C700, C702, C703, C708, and C715 electromagnetic/ultrasonic meters with encoder registers, as well as 26 related couplings, reducing flanges, elliptical or oval flanges, meter strainers, and meter spools. Vendors may bid on some or all items, and multiple awards may be made on an item-by-item basis to the lowest responsible and qualified bidder. Quantities are estimates and may vary; delivery is required within 15 working days of each order. Bid prices remain effective for one year, with mutually agreed one-year renewals for a total term not exceeding three years. The City may require a post-award pilot to verify compatibility with its automatic meter reading system before ordering additional meters.
