Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a Sources Sought market-research notice for full, continuous 24/7 snow and ice management services at the Beckley VA Medical Center. The contractor would provide all management, labor, supervision, equipment, vehicles, fuel, materials, deicing and anti-icing agents, and other incidentals needed to maintain safe vehicular and pedestrian access throughout the winter season, including weekends and Federal holidays. The scope includes weather monitoring, pretreatment, plowing, clearing of roads, parking areas, sidewalks, steps, ramps, courtyards, loading areas, emergency routes, and parking structures; repeated deicing and return visits; and snow relocation, loading, hauling, and disposal to designated campus areas. Contractors must maintain sufficient staffing, equipment, materials, and fuel for simultaneous operations, meet specified response and clearance standards, protect the occupied healthcare campus, and maintain event logs. The notice requests company information, UEI, size and socioeconomic status, a capability statement and relevant experience, GSA schedule information if applicable, and a ballpark cost estimate; it expressly states that quotes and proposals are not being solicited at this stage.
