The McDowell County Board of Education is soliciting bids for the Bus Garage and Maintenance Facility Repairs project. The work includes removal of existing storm pipe and installation of approximately 450 linear feet of 48-inch HDPE pipe, 200 linear feet of 15-inch HDPE pipe, five drainage inlets, concrete wingwalls, asphalt trench repair, and other miscellaneous items. The project also requires erosion and sediment control measures, mobilization, and seeding/mulching. The contract duration is 60 calendar days for substantial completion and 75 days for final completion, with liquidated damages of $750 per day. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 9, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the McDowell County Board of Education office. Bids are due July 1, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. local time.
