Description
The planned contract covers design, drawings, manufacture, shop testing, and delivery of two digital static excitation systems, including power potential transformers. The contractor will remove the existing systems and install, test, and commission the replacements for commercial operation, including associated wiring, cabling, bus, conduit, meters, switches, floor repairs, concrete work, and equipment anchoring. The scope also includes model validation tests and reports for two units, operation and maintenance documentation, as-built drawings, collector ring inspection, and new safety railings. Optional collector ring refurbishment may be performed if approved by the Government. The notice anticipates a firm-fixed-price contract with a 730-calendar-day period of performance after receipt of the Notice to Proceed; the forthcoming RFP will provide the detailed statement of work. This is a presolicitation notice, not a request for proposals, and the procurement is planned as full and open competition.
